CCTV Storage & NVR Calculator (CCTV Toolkit)

Last updated: October 2, 2026 · Package: com.ragheb.cctvtoolkit

Overview

CCTV Toolkit helps security camera installers plan systems and prepare reports. You do not need an account. The app's project records stay on your device; the app excludes its database and settings from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Some Android 12+ manufacturers may still allow device-to-device migration despite these configuration rules; behavior has not been verified across manufacturers.

Information stored on your device

Projects can contain names, customer or company details, site addresses, camera groups, equipment notes, calculations, and report settings. These records are stored in a local SQLite database and app preferences. The reviewed app code does not send these project records to the developer's servers. PDFs may include details you entered. If you choose to share or save a PDF, Android passes it to the destination you select; the app does not control that destination's handling.

You can delete individual projects in the app or clear all app data in Android Settings. Clearing app data does not remove PDFs, JSON exports, or other files you previously saved outside the app.

Settings also offers an optional JSON export of the local database. The export can include saved projects, calculations, and profile details. It is not encrypted. The app shows a warning, does not upload the export, and opens the Android share sheet so you choose where to save or send it. Handle the exported file carefully; the selected destination applies its own privacy practices. This app version does not restore or import the export.

Firebase notifications and remote settings

The app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging for optional campaign announcements and Firebase Remote Config to retrieve ad-control settings. Firebase may process a Firebase installation identifier and technical information, such as the app version, network information, and IP address, to provide these services.

Campaign messages are off unless you turn them on in Settings and allow Android notifications. When enabled, Firebase Cloud Messaging uses an app registration token and topic memberships for this app, the engineering category, and the Ragheb Apps portfolio to route announcements. Turning the setting off asks Firebase to remove those topic memberships, disables automatic messaging registration, and deletes the messaging token. Firebase Remote Config can continue to use the Firebase installation identifier for remote ad settings. Firebase's retention and deletion timing for installation identifiers has not been independently verified.

Advertising and consent

The free version can show Google AdMob banner ads at the end of the Home and Tools lists and may offer a rewarded ad when you share a PDF. Ads are omitted for Pro users. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. An IP address may be used to estimate general location. Google's User Messaging Platform presents consent choices where required, and the app provides a privacy-options entry in Settings where Google requires one.

Google may also process data under its own privacy terms. See Google's Privacy Policy and Google Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure.

Purchases

Google Play processes payment for the optional cctv_toolkit_pro_lifetime purchase. To verify a purchase, the app sends its Google Play purchase token, product ID, and app package name over HTTPS to the publisher's purchase-verification service. The service checks the purchase with Google Play. Its Firestore document ID is derived from the package name and a one-way hash of the purchase token; the stored record contains the package, product, and purchase state, not the raw token. This supports restoration and purchase-state updates. The service does not store payment-card details or require an app account. There is no in-app self-service deletion, and a working process for deleting a publisher-held verification record has not been verified. A fixed retention period for these records has not been verified.

Permissions and security

Internet access is used for Firebase services, advertising, and purchase verification. Notification permission is requested only when you turn campaign announcements on. The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, or precise location access. Firebase and purchase verification use encrypted connections; Google Mobile Ads documents encryption in transit for SDK data.

Changes and contact

We will post material policy changes on this page. For privacy questions, contact manalaatt1980@gmail.com. You can ask about a publisher-held purchase record, but the app does not provide a self-service deletion action and the publisher's ability to identify and delete a record from an email request has not been verified. Firebase provider retention and deletion behavior for Remote Config installation identifiers has not been independently verified. The app is published as CCTV Storage & NVR Calculator and is branded CCTV Toolkit in the app.
