Med Reminder: Pill Tracker

Last updated: October 2, 2026 · Android package: com.ragheb.medreminder

1. About this policy

This policy describes the Android app’s current data practices. Med Reminder does not require an account. The app does not send medication schedules or dose-history records to a developer-operated account or record-sync service.

2. Information stored on your device

When you use the app, it stores the medication details you enter, which can include a medication name, strength, form, dose amount and unit, schedule and reminder times, dates, refill count and threshold, pause or archive status, and notes. It also stores dose events, such as scheduled time, the status you record (for example, taken, skipped, or snoozed), actual time, snooze time, and notes. The app stores local preferences such as health-disclaimer acceptance and your campaign-notification choice.

These records are stored in app-private preferences on your device. The reviewed Android app does not add a separate encryption layer to those records. The Android manifest disables cloud backup, and its data-extraction rules exclude app data from device transfer. Some Android 12+ manufacturers may still allow device migration; behavior has not been verified across manufacturers.

3. Medication reminders

Dose reminders are scheduled as local notifications on your device; medication schedules and dose records are not sent to a notification server to create these reminders. Notification permission and device settings affect whether or when they appear. A reminder can include the medication name, which may be visible on your lock screen depending on your Android settings. Do not rely on app notifications as your only medication-safety measure.

4. Backup and reports you choose to export

The Settings screen can display a selectable JSON backup containing medication schedules and dose history. The app can also generate a PDF report with medication and dose details. These are not automatically uploaded by the app. If you copy, print, save, or share an export, the chosen clipboard, print service, storage provider, app, or recipient handles its copy. Review an export before sharing it because it may contain sensitive health information. Copies outside the app are not removed when you clear app data or uninstall.

5. Optional campaign announcements

Campaign announcements are off until you turn them on in the app and grant Android notification permission. If you opt in, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) processes this app installation’s FCM registration token and app, category, and portfolio topic subscriptions to route campaign messages. The app’s campaign-registration and topic-subscription flow does not include medication names, schedules, notes, or dose history. Internet access is needed for campaign registration and delivery. Firebase may process technical information needed to provide its messaging service under its own privacy terms; see Firebase privacy and data processing information.

You can turn campaign announcements off in the app. It then requests removal from its topics, disables FCM auto-registration, and requests deletion of the FCM token. These operations may need a network connection and can be retried if they fail. Firebase controls its own processing and deletion timing.

6. Ads and purchases

The Android app version described here does not display advertisements or offer an in-app purchase flow. Its Settings screen says Pro purchases are unavailable. If a future version adds active ads or purchases, this policy will be updated to describe the associated data use before that feature is offered.

7. Retention and deletion

Medication records remain in local app storage until the app’s data is cleared or the app is uninstalled. Archiving a medication removes it from the active list and stops its future reminders, but does not delete the archived record or its dose history. The app does not provide a permanent delete-all control. You can remove local app data in Android Settings or by uninstalling the app. This does not remove exports you previously copied, printed, saved, or shared. Turning campaign announcements off requests FCM topic removal and token deletion as described above; Firebase’s provider-side retention is governed by Firebase.

8. Children and health information

The app does not ask for a user’s age or create child profiles. If an adult uses it to record a child’s medication, that adult is responsible for entering and protecting those details and should consult the child’s healthcare professional. The app records information entered by the user; it does not verify prescriptions, calculate clinical safety, diagnose, or recommend treatment.

9. Changes and contact

We may revise this policy when the app’s data practices change. The current version will be posted at this page with its update date.
