OSHA Incident Log & TRIR/DART
1. About this app
This policy describes the Android app identified above. The app stores workplace establishment details and incident records you enter, calculates annual totals and rates, and can prepare a draft Form 300A-style PDF for your review. It does not provide an account or cloud sync for these records.
2. Information you enter
Records may include a workplace name and address, NAICS code, employee count, hours worked, and incident details such as an employee name or job title, date, location, description, injury or illness category, case classification, and days away or restricted. These details may identify an employee or describe health information. Enter only information you are authorized to handle.
3. Local storage and device permissions
Incident records and establishment details are saved in the app's local storage on your device. The current Android manifest disables Android app-data backup. This app does not send incident records to its campaign notification service or to an app account or record-sync server. The app requests Android notification permission for campaign announcements. Its current app screens do not use camera, contacts, microphone, or location access. The Android data-extraction rules also exclude the listed app data from device-to-device transfer. Some Android 12+ manufacturers may still allow device migration despite these configuration rules; behavior has not been verified across manufacturers.
4. Optional campaign notifications
You can separately opt in to occasional campaign announcements in the app's Settings and allow Android notifications. If you opt in and notifications are allowed, Firebase Cloud Messaging processes this app installation's notification token and app, category, and portfolio topic subscriptions to deliver messages. Incident and establishment records are not included in these subscriptions or messages. You can opt out in the app's Settings or turn off notification permission in Android settings. For more information, see Firebase privacy and security information.
5. Ads and purchases
The app does not request or display ads. The current Settings screen says paid upgrades are unavailable and does not provide purchase or restore controls. Although optional purchase-verification code exists in the app source, the checked release candidate has no verification service configured, so that code does not initialize or send purchase data. If a future version enables purchases or advertising, this policy and the Play disclosures will describe the feature and any data it sends before it is offered.
6. PDF exports and sharing
The draft annual summary PDF is generated on the device. If you choose Android's print or share action, the destination you select may receive or store a copy under its own privacy policy. Review the PDF and recipient before sharing; it may include workplace details and sensitive incident information.
7. Retention and deletion
Records remain in local app storage until you delete them in the app or clear the app's storage or uninstall the app through Android settings. The developer does not provide a cloud copy or account-based recovery for these records. Keep any PDF you choose to export in a location with suitable access controls.
8. Policy updates
We will post changes to this page and update the date above when the app's data practices change.
