Pet Care & Vet Records Log
1. About this app
Pet Care & Vet Records Log is an offline-first recordkeeping app. The reviewed app source does not require an account and stores pet profiles, medicine notes, and health-log entries in app-private storage on your device. The app does not send those records to a developer-operated cloud database.
2. Information you enter
Records can include a pet's name, species, breed, birth date, weight, microchip number, veterinary clinic and phone number, allergies, and an owner or emergency contact. Medicine entries can include a name, dosage wording, frequency, dates, reason, and instructions. Health logs can include an event type, date and time, title, notes, owner-noted severity, observed duration, or recorded weight. The app stores these values as entered; it does not verify them or provide veterinary advice.
PDF summaries are created on your device. They may include pet, owner, clinic, allergy, and medicine details. They leave the app only when you choose to print, save, or share them. The destination app, printer, or recipient then handles its copy.
The reviewed Android manifest disables app backup and its data-extraction rules exclude app data from cloud backup and device transfer. This is a statement about the checked-in Android configuration; other platform builds and older installed versions were not verified. This describes the checked-in Android configuration. Some Android 12+ manufacturers may still allow device-to-device migration; behavior has not been verified across manufacturers.
3. Campaign notifications
The app offers optional Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) campaign notifications. Campaign registration and topic subscriptions are enabled only after you turn on the in-app option and grant Android notification permission. Firebase processes a device registration token and delivery/routing metadata, including app, category, or portfolio topic membership, to deliver campaign messages. The app does not attach your pet records to those campaign subscriptions or messages. Turning the option off asks the app to leave its topics, disable FCM auto-registration, and delete its token; Firebase-side retention after those requests is controlled by Google and is not established by app source.
4. Purchases and advertising
Purchases. The source contains Google Play Billing code for the optional one-time Pro product. Purchase availability depends on the app build, Play product configuration, and a configured verification service. When a purchase is available, Google Play processes checkout. The app can send the package name, product identifier, purchase token, and purchase source to the verification service configured for that build so it can check the entitlement. The app does not receive payment-card details. The verification service's operator, retention, and deletion practices must be confirmed separately.
Advertising. No Google Mobile Ads SDK, ad initialization, or ad request/rendering code was found in the reviewed app source. The remaining AdMob values are in an unused configuration file; they do not establish that this app displays ads. The previously signed release candidate has not been confirmed as identical to current source.
See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information for provider practices.
5. Android permissions
The checked-in Android manifest declares notification, exact-alarm, and boot-completed permissions. The app source reviewed here has optional campaign-notification controls but no pet-medicine reminder-scheduling feature. The extra alarm permissions should be reviewed against the final release manifest. No camera, photo/file, contacts, location, or microphone permission is declared in the app's main manifest.
6. Retention and deletion
In the reviewed app source, medication entries have an individual delete control. Pet profiles and health-log entries do not currently have individual delete controls. Clearing the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app removes its locally stored app data. PDF files already printed, saved, or shared outside the app must be deleted from those destinations separately.
Turning campaign notifications off requests topic removal and token deletion. Google Play and the configured purchase-verification service may retain transaction information under their own policies; server-side retention and deletion were not confirmed in this source review.
7. Children
The app does not ask for a user's age or date of birth; the birth-date field is for a pet. Parents or guardians should supervise children's use and avoid entering a child's personal or contact information in pet or emergency-contact records.
8. Policy changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app's data practices change. The latest version will be posted on this page.
